CleanX is a disk cleaner and media cleanup app for iPhone, Mac, Windows and Linux, published by Loopara. This policy covers the CleanX apps and this website. Questions go to support@loopara.app.

Everything the app does with your library happens on your iPhone. No server of ours ever receives your media. The only thing the app sends is the anonymous usage count described below.

• Photo library access. With your permission, CleanX reads your photos and videos to sort them into categories, measure their size, find exact duplicates by hashing the file, group visually similar photos using Apple's Vision framework, and estimate sharpness. All of it runs on the device. Photos that exist only in iCloud are not downloaded unless you ask for a specific video.
• What is stored, and where. Analysis results, your review selection and swipe sessions are saved in the app's own storage on the device, together with counters such as how many items you have cleaned. You can clear the analysis cache in Settings, and deleting the app removes all of it.
• Deleting. CleanX never deletes anything on its own. You select items, confirm in the app, and then iOS asks you to confirm again. Deletions may sync through your iCloud Photos library, and Photos normally moves items to Recently Deleted first.
• Video optimizing. Compression runs on the device. The optimized file is a new copy; your original is never removed automatically.
• Apple Intelligence. If you ask for a suggested starting point, the on-device model receives the number of items in each category and your language. No images, filenames or locations are included, and nothing is sent to a cloud model. The feature is optional and is not offered in languages Apple's model does not write.
• Notifications. If you allow them, CleanX can remind you about a cleanup and tell you when a scan or a video finished while you were elsewhere. Notifications are scheduled and delivered on the device; the text is built from your own category counts.
• Purchases. CleanX Pro is a one-time purchase handled by Apple's App Store. CleanX receives a verified entitlement that says the purchase exists. It never sees your name, card or Apple Account. Restore Purchases asks Apple, not us.

Nothing in that list identifies you, so there is nothing for us to share, sell or lose.

To know which parts of CleanX are worth improving, the iPhone app sends a small report at most once a day. It contains counters and nothing else:

• How many times the app was opened, and which of its sections were opened.
• How many scans ran, and how many items those scans looked at.
• How many cleanups you confirmed, and how many items they removed.
• How many videos were optimized, how many photos were swiped, and how many on-device suggestions were generated.
• The app version, the app's language, whether the install has Pro, and the date.
• A random identifier the app generates for itself, so one day is not counted twice.

What it never contains: your name, email, Apple Account, advertising identifier, IP address, location, filenames, photo or video content, or anything derived from your media beyond a count. We do not store the IP address the report arrives from, and the data is not used to track you across apps or websites.

Turn it off with a single switch in the app's Settings, under Anonymous usage. Switching it off deletes the pending counts and the random identifier, and nothing further is sent. Deleting the app has the same effect.

The desktop apps scan your disk locally to find caches, logs, build artifacts and other reclaimable files, and read system counters to show live CPU, memory and disk activity. Nothing about your machine, your files or your habits is transmitted. There is no telemetry, no crash reporting service and no advertising.

Removal is always your choice, and the apps ask before deleting. The desktop apps send no usage counts today; if that changes, this page will say so before it ships.

The website is the one place where we do store something, and only what you hand it.

• Release notifications. If you submit your email address to hear when a build is ready, we store that address with the time and the browser user agent of the request. We use it to send you release news and nothing else.
• Accounts. If you create an account to download builds, we store your name, email address, a hashed password and the time you last signed in. Passwords are never stored in readable form.
• Downloads. When a build is downloaded we record which release it was, along with the browser user agent, the referring page and a hashed form of the IP address. We use these to count downloads and to spot abuse. The raw IP address is not kept.

We do not use advertising networks or third-party analytics anywhere, and we do not sell or rent any of this to anyone. Data is kept only while it is useful for the purpose it was given for. Ask us at support@loopara.app and we will delete your address, your account or your records.

You can ask what we hold about you, ask for a copy, ask for a correction, or ask us to delete it. Because the apps hold nothing, such a request only ever concerns the website. Write to support@loopara.app and we will answer within 30 days.

On your iPhone you can withdraw photo access at any time in the iOS Settings app, and turn notifications off in the same place.

CleanX is not directed at children and collects no personal data from anyone, of any age.

If this policy changes we will update this page and move the effective date above. Material changes to how the apps handle your media would also be described in the app's release notes.
